Chelsea somehow salvaged a dramatic 2-1 victory over Cardiff City on Sunday – and many of the club’s supporters raged at striker Gonzalo Higuain for his performance.
The Blues managed to score twice late on to cancel out a Cardiff opener and remain in the hunt for the top four.

Victor Camarasa put the hosts in front at the start of the second-half with a first time finish, but Maurizio Sarri’s team did respond late on and the introduction of the substitutes helped.
Cesar Azplilcueta netted a header from a corner and Chelsea can consider themselves lucky that the officials didn’t spot he was in an offside position.

Antonio Rudiger then was perhaps fortunate to escape a potential red card, before the Blues scored in injury time with a bullet header from substitute Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Eden Hazard came off the bench to inject some quality to a Chelsea team that were struggling to create, while duo Loftus-Cheek and Olivier Giroud also came off the bench to great effect.

Higuain has now scored just three goals in 11 appearances across all competitions since he moved to West London on loan in January.
The Argentinian centre-forward offered very little goal threat at the point off attack and many believe that teammate Giroud is a much stronger option moving forward.
