Maurizio Sarri’s side were in front inside 10 minutes after a brilliant ball over the top from defender David Luiz was cushioned down by Pedro, before he delicately chipped the ball over the goalkeeper into the net.

The hosts did conceded just before half-time from a Ciaran Clark from a corner, but fortunately Willian was on hand in the second-half with a stunning curling effort.

Chelsea strengthened their fourth-placed position in the league table and are now six points ahead of London rivals Arsenal in fifth.

Many Chelsea fans were full of praise for Pedro after he made a major impact on the contest and scored a decisive goal.

He’s now scored seven Premier League goals this season and has benefited massively from the arrival of manager Sarri in the summer, which has seen the team try to play a more attacking style of football.
