Chelsea drew with Eintracht Frankfurt 1-1 in the Europa League on Thursday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter hailed midfielder Jorginho for his performance.

In-form Frankfurt striker Luke Jovic scored with a header for the German club, but Chelsea did hit back just before half-time though Pedro’s left-footed shot.

Maurizio Sarri’s team should feel confident ahead of the second leg next week at Stamford Bridge and did have control of the game for large spells.

Chelsea’s decision to leave talisman Eden Hazard on the bench appeared to have paid off, but there is still plenty of work to be done next week.

The 27-year-old has endured his fair share of criticism during since joining last summer, but on his 50th appearance for the English club did impress.

He suffered a head injury early in the second-half, but after being bandaged up he helped control the centre of the park.

The central midfielder is an important player in the deep-lying role for Sarri’s team and is beginning to win some supporters over.
