Maurizio Sarri’s side had to work hard to finally find a way past a resilient Bournemouth, but Loftus-Cheek stood out above the rest as the outstanding player on the park.
The 22-year-old was deployed on the right flank by Chelsea and did tuck in centrally when needed defensively.
His powerful style meant he was a real handful for the Bournemouth defenders and he also showed off some excellent dribbling.
Loftus-Cheek’s preferred position is in the centre of the park and he’s demonstrated he can be a force in the central midfield role, but will just be pleased to be finding more game time under Sarri.
The England international is an extremely highly-rated talent at Stamford Bridge and his six-goal return this season should only be the start.
