Fikayo Tomori ended up on the losing side with Derby County in the Championship play-off final – but some Chelsea fans on Twitter were majorly impressed by their loan star.
There were a lot of Blues eyes focused on Monday’s final, as Rams manager Frank Lampard faced off against Villa’s assistant John Terry.

Meanwhile, Derby’s Tomori and Mason Mount, plus Villa’s Tammy Abraham are all players that are out on loan from Stamford Bridge this season.
Villa secured a return to the Premier League with a 2-1 victory, which means they will join the automatically promoted pair of Norwich City and Sheffield United next season in the top flight.

Tomori couldn’t quite get Derby over the line for promotion, but played 55 games across all competitions for them and was a real standout player.
The 21-year-old centre-back was an ever-present in Lampard’s XI and showed his class on the Wembley stages in the heart of the Derby defence.

He’s a ball-playing defender with a great range of passing and turn of pace, which is why many want to see him back at Chelsea next season and given a first-team opportunity.
The England Under-21 international with immense potential, but will Maurizio Sarri see it that way during the summer?
