Chelsea fans impressed by Juan Castillo despite UEFA Youth League final defeat

Chelsea’s Under-19s side were beaten by Porto on Monday night in the UEFA Youth League final – and some fans on Twitter were impressed by their promising talent Juan Castillo.

The Blues made it to the final of the competition for a second straight year, but once again finished as runners-up and were beaten 3-1 by Porto’s youngsters.

Daishawn Redan did get on the scoresheet for the English outfit and it was Castillo who provided the assist with his cross.

Castillo is a defender by trade that usually plays at left-back, but was used in a slightly more attacking role against Porto.

The 19-year-old is a left-sided flyer with great energy and pace, which made him arguably the most creative threat on Monday going forward.

His crossing paid off with an equalising goal during the game and he made several decent attempt during the contest.

The Dutch teenager certainly did enough to earn some rave reviews from Chelsea fans on social media after impressing with the Under-19s side.

There are a number of talented individuals that continue to shine bright at youth level and it would be interesting to know which ones are on the radar of senior boss Maurizio Sarri.
