Chelsea recorded a comfortable 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday – and many fans on Twitter were impressed with Ross Barkley’s contribution to the team.

The Blues moved back into the top four of the Premier League by annihilating bottom of the table Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge.

Centre-forward Gonzalo Higuain scored twice to get up and running for Chelsea, while talisman Eden Hazard was also on the scoresheet twice and David Luiz also added a late one.

Maurizio Sarri’s side managed to bounce back from two consecutive league defeats, but it must be noted they were playing weak opposition.

Barkley was under the spotlight of some Chelsea supporters on social media, who believe that he looked positive in the centre of the park.

The 25-year-old midfielder was named in the starting XI by Sarri and managed to show some bright moments going forward.

He produced an excellent assist for Hazard’s second goal and will hope he’s about to hit a purple patch of form.

The England international has had to endure spells in and out of the XI due to rotation in the midfield three, but displayed what he can offer going forward against Huddersfield.
