Eden Hazard inspired Belgium to a 3-1 victory over Russia on Thursday night – and many Chelsea fans raved about the quality of their attacker on Twitter.
The Blues attacker scored twice for Belgium in a European Championship qualifier at home and continued his brilliant form this season in front of goal.
He calmly converted a penalty after he was found inside the box and added another late on from close-range to secure three points.
Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea this season, scoring 16 goals and supplying 11 assists across all competitions so far in 39 games.
The 28-year-old continued his golden touch on the international stage and is the talisman for Roberto Martinez’s Belgium side, something that he’s used to being in Maurizio Sarri’s team too.
Belgium travel to Cyprus on Sunday for another qualifier and Chelsea fans will hope Hazard returns from the international break in full fitness.
Chelsea have the race for the top four and the Europa League to compete for in the remainder of the season, where they are going to need attacker Hazard at his dazzling best.
The winger should pick up some confidence during his games in the international break and needs to try bring that back to Stamford Bridge.
