Chelsea suffered a 2-0 away defeat against Everton on Sunday in the Premier League – and many of the club’s supporters ripped into attacker Pedro for his performance.

The Blues were beaten in the league at Goodison Park and once again were unable to convert good goalscoring opportunities, in the first-half at least.

Maurizio Sarri’s team remain sixth in the table and now have plenty of work to do in the remaining eight games to break into the top four, but winning the Europa League may turn out to be the best bet of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

After missing opportunities to score in the first period, visitors Chelsea were quiet in the second period and made to pay by Everton.

Richarlison scored a header from close-range shortly after half-time and Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the second, which came after Marcos Alonso gave away a penalty on his return to the league team.

Many Chelsea fans wanted to single out Pedro for his display on social media and believe he was wasteful in the final third.

The 31-year-old Spaniard did have a goal chalked off for offside that he fired into the net, but apart from that was unable to break through the Everton defence.

He does have nine goals across all competitions this season, but is a streaky player that goes through good form in stages.
