Chelsea have just been given biggest wake-up call yet to keep 'really exciting' player - TCC View

Today’s report that suggests Real Madrid have an interest in Chelsea youngster Armando Broja should act as the perfect wake-up call around Stamford Bridge.

It’s been claimed that La Liga and Champions League holders Real Madrid have made contact with Chelsea to enquire about Broja.

Apparently, the 20-year-old is in their sights as they look to bring talented young attackers to the Bernabeu.

If Madrid are showing interest in you, that can only be an excellent sign that you’re on the right track.

There’s been a lot of transfer rumours already in this summer window linking Broja with a move away from West London, but those at Chelsea should react to Madrid’s enquiry by keeping a tighter grip on him.

Real Madrid interest in Broja

Described as “really exciting” by Gary Neville on Sky Sports Premier League in February, Broja definitely has the kind of potential that should intrigue top clubs.

He’s an all-action centre-forward that showed during a season-long loan at Southampton last year he’s a big physical presence, especially for someone aged only 20. The Albania international has great pace, movement and work rate, too.

It’s been reported Chelsea have a £50million price tag on their academy graduate amid interest from Everton.

Despite the potential temptation of big money for an inexperienced youngster, the Blues must seize an opportunity to keep and play Broja in this upcoming season.

A big positive is that he’s involved in the first-team squad that’s travelled for tonight’s pre-season friendly against Udinese, so let’s hope he gets some minutes to show his quality.

With a distinct lack of options in attack right now, Broja deserves his fair shot to show why he should be the next No.9.

Perhaps the Real Madrid rumour can be one final reminder that the striker needs a chance because they don’t want to let another prize asset slip through their fingers.
