Chris Sutton has branded it “embarassing” that Callum Hudson-Odoi is yet to start a Premier League game before making his senior debut for England.
The 18-year-old earned his first two caps for Gareth Southgate’s side during the international break, where he looked particularly impressive in a win over Montenegro that has completed 90 minutes in.

But the winger is yet to start a Premier League game for the Blues and supporters are urging Maurizio Sarri to make him a regular feature in the team.
The highly-rated attacker has been formidable in the Europa League campaign so far and that was enough to put him into the England plans.

Sutton, who is a former Blues player and now outspoken pundit, is stunned that Hudson-Odoi is struggling for minutes at Stamford Bridge.
He also expects Bayern Munich to try sign him again in January after Chelsea blocked interest in him in January from the German club (Telegraph).
“Chelsea may have turned down Bayern Munich’s offer in January but I don’t think we’ve heard the last of that. Hudson-Odoi just wants to play,” Sutton told the Daily Mail.
“It is embarrassing for Chelsea that he can put on that kind of performance on the international stage without having started a game for his club.”

According to the Daily Mail, Bayern are frontrunners to try sign the English star in the summer and the player does want to leave West London.
The report details that Barcelona and Manchester United are also keen, while the player has turned down an £80,000-a-week deal to stay where he is.
Chelsea fans are concerned about Hudson-Odoi’s interest given his current deal expires in 2020 and that there is interest in him, but it would great for Sarri to let him loose in the XI in the remaining games of the season.
