Chelsea have made a very bright start to the 2018/19 season in the Premier League.
The Blues sit second in the table on goal difference and have surprised the skeptics so far.
Admittedly the fixtures will come a lot tougher over the next couple of months, but things are promising right now.

One area of slight concern though is at centre-back.
David Luiz is a great ball-playing defender but often gets caught of position and is prone to lapses.
Sarri has show him great loyalty, but here’s a selection of defenders who would be absolutely ideal for the Italian to move for in January…
Kamil Glik
Monaco defender Glik is a dominant individual; a leader of men.

The Poland international is aggressive and no-nonsense; he could complement Antonio Rudiger perfectly.
At 30 years of age, he likely wouldn’t come too expensive either.
Kalidou Koulibaly
It would be a very difficult one to pull off, but obviously ex-Napoli manager Sarri knows him well.
Koulibaly is widely considered one of the best defenders in Serie A.

An excellent ball-player and monstrous defender.
Daniele Rugani
He was linked earlier this summer but a move never materialised.

Rugani is young but very handy with the ball at his feet, which surely appeals to Sarri.
Milan Skriniar
Skriniar has been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City.
He’s hot property because of his composure on the ball and intelligent positioning.

He also has fantastic aggression; essentially he’s the whole package, meaning he’d be very expensive.
Having managed in Serie A, Sarri will have had numerous chances to watch him.
Matthijs de ligt
It’s only a matter of time before 19-year-old de Ligt moves on from Ajax – and Chelsea should monitor him closely.

de Ligt plays with impressive maturity and is great at breaking the lines with his passing.
A move for the Dutchman might be risky given his age but he undoutbedly has fantastic potential.
