Chelsea have started the season in fantastic fashion. It seems overly picky to think about bringing new players in. However, the Blues need to upgrade several positions if they want to realistically challenge the world’s best teams over the next few years. The position of right wing is one such position.

Both Willian and Pedro are a step below top class. Chelsea rely on Eden Hazard for a lot of attacking impetus. He needs support. Here are four realistic options for the Blues to buy in January.

  1. Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona) : Price: £90 million:

Chances of happening? 2/5

The 21-year old is rumoured to have been made available for transfer by Barcelona.

He is displaying some attitude problems due to frustration about lack of consistent playing time. All this could make a bid likely to succeed.

  1. Florian Thauvin (Marseille) Price: £40 million

Chances of happening? 2/5

Thauvin is known for flopping during a spell at Newcastle. Since then, he has played extremely well for Marseille. He was selected for the French World Cup squad after an excellent 2017. Thauvin has scored 7 goals and made 4 assists in 11 games so far this season. He could be worth a punt.
