Jody Morris raved about Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek after their performances on Monday night in the Premier League.

The Blues pair both started in a 2-0 victory over West Ham at Stamford Bridge, which lifted the team temporarily up to third in the league table.

Attacker Hazard was the match-winner with his two goals and one was a goal of the season contender that saw him skip past several defenders before firing in with his weak foot.

Meanwhile, central midfielder Loftus-Cheek got another start in the league and was far too powerful for the West Ham players to handle.

Ex-Chelsea academy coach and player Morris picked out the duo on Twitter after their impressive displays.

Morris is currently working under the wing of Frank Lampard as assistant manager at Derby County and many feel he could return to the Bridge one day.

“Oh my word… ridiculous!! Such a special player. Quite simply the best player in the league Eden Hazard. Enjoyed Ruben again tonight” Morris wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Hazard really is superb to watch when he performs like he did against West Ham and he’s now up to 19 goals across all competitions for this season.

The left-winger has been able to thrive under current manager Maurizio Sarri and Liverpool should be fearful ahead of the meeting at Anfield at the weekend.

Loftus-Cheek’s inclusion for a second league game running too massively pleased the majority of fans and he’s in the XI on merit.

He adds some extra quality from the centre of the park when he plays and he can skip past players too just like his teammate Hazard.
