Chelsea defender Marco Alonso signed a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday and he’s definitely become a major favourite during his time so far in London.

The Spanish left-back has committed his future with the Blues until 2023 and is currently enjoying life under manager Maurizio Sarri.

He has already won a Premier League title and an FA Cup since he joined in 2016 from Fiorentina under the tutelage of Antonio Conte, but will be aiming for plenty more silverware.

A huge part of Alonso’s game has been in attack, where he’s proven as a left-back or left wing-back that he can make a difference in the final third.

The 27-year-old left-footed ace has scored 15 goals in his 92 appearances across all competitions and some of them have been outrageously good.

Here is a look at the top five Alonso goals from his time with Chelsea:

Alonso completed the scoring in this league meeting to earn three points with a stunning free-kick, which is the first of four set-pieces he’s scored so far at Chelsea. The defender whipped in an inch-perfect finish to the top right corner and is a serious threat from dead-ball situations.

Tottenham 1-2 Chelsea in Premier League, 20 August 2017

West Brom 0-4 Chelsea in Premier League, 18 November 2017
