Michy Batshuayi has told Chelsea fans on Twitter that he aims to repay their “incredible support” in the upcoming season.

The 25-year-old attacker is now back at Stamford Bridge for pre-season following his latest spell out on loan from the Blues last year.

He spent the first half of the last campaign with La Liga outfit Valencia in Spain, where he scored just three times in 23 games.

The Belgium international was then far more prolific with Crystal Palace in the second half of last season, netting six times in just 13 games during his spell at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea’s official Twitter account released a post showing new manager Frank Lampard jetting out to Dublin for pre-season.

A photo of Batshuayi boarding the plane was included and he received plenty of support from Blues fans.

Here are some of the Chelsea fans commenting on Batshuayi:

The centre-forward has responded to the support on social media and has promised big things for the 2019/20 season.

“Wow much Love under this tweet. Hope I can repay you for all the incredible support guys,” Batshuayi wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Batshuayi clearly has the support of some Chelsea fans and are desperate to see him succeed.

He’s got 19 goals in 53 games for Chelsea and helped clinch the 2016/17 Premier League title with a flurry of goals towards the back-end of that campaign.

It will be intriguing to see if Lampard plans to bring him back into the fold at Stamford Bridge.
