Chelsea defender Reece James is reportedly being eyed by Premier League rivals Manchester United.

The 19-year-old flyer has enjoyed an excellent loan spell this season with Wigan in the Championship, where he’s been their star man and made the division’s team of the year.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are now one of the clubs tracking the right-back and he’s believed to be valued at around £15million.

The Englishman has all the traits of a modern day full-back with his athleticism and is a set-piece specialist.

He’s also extremely capable on the ball too and has been used by Wigan in their midfield recently in the fight against relegation.

Chelsea need to find the heir to Cesar Azpilicueta at right-back moving forward and James ticks all the boxes to come into first-team contention next season.

James has come through the academy at Stamford Bridge and should be with the senior team next year after impressing with Wigan.

His quoted £15million price should be completely ignored given his immense potential and Chelsea need to ensure they don’t let him slip through their fingers.

The Blues have already rejected a £10million offer from Brighton for James (The Sun) and they need to stand firm.
