For Chelsea, they are preparing for an important game tonight in the Champions League group stages.

The Blues know they’ll secure qualification for the knockout rounds by avoiding defeat at Stamford Bridge against the Italian giants. However, a loss could end up leaving them with work to do when they travel to Zenit in December.

Chelsea have lost just twice in 19 games across all competitions this season, with Juventus and Manchester City getting the better of them with 1-0 scorelines.

The first group stage meeting with Juventus was an extremely frustrating one where Chelsea looked toothless at times in the final third. Therefore, Blues manager Tuchel should turn to a man that didn’t play against them last time.

Pulisic raring to go for Chelsea

Christian Pulisic, 23, is someone who’s spent most of the season so far sidelined with an ankle problem. Tuesday night’s game against Juventus looks like the perfect time to recall him to the starting XI, though.

The American attacker definitely gives Chelsea extra dynamism higher up the pitch with his pace and movement, something that was obviously missing last time out against Juventus.

It’s a match tonight where the ball will need to be moved quickly and it could take a moment of genius to unlock the door.

Pulisic, described by teammate Ross Barkley as a “wizard”, brings star quality on the pitch.

He’s sensibly been eased back by both club and country in the last few weeks, but surely he’s due a start.

Centre-forward role?

With Kai Havertz a doubt to feature on Tuesday, perhaps Pulisic could be a left-field option to play at striker.

Pulisic’s a versatile forward that is usually best operating from wide areas, but he did come off the bench at the weekend to play down the middle against Leicester City.

In addition, he scored at the King Power Stadium after showing a clever bit of movement in the penalty area.

His attributes may be exactly the kind of weapon needed to trouble Juventus.
