Chelsea’s win away to Norwich City yesterday may have been lost somewhat due to the off-field chaos involving the club.

Mason Mount did something at Carrow Road that should make fans love him even more, though.

With Blues owner Roman Abramovich sanctioned by the UK government on Thursday, everyone has been getting their brains around the repercussions on the club itself.

These new regulations include a ban on Chelsea’s transfers, as well as the need for another special licence from the government in order for Abramovich to fulfil his wish of selling the club. However, he’ll make no money from any kind of sale.

As for Thomas Tuchel’s side, they were in action last night in a 3-1 Premier League victory at Norwich.

Mount scored his team’s second goal with an emphatic finish, and some could interpret his celebration as a reaction to the drama off the pitch.

The 23-year-old went running off to supporters after his first-half goal before stopping to kiss the club’s badge on his shirt.

For certain, he’s someone that will be as worried as anyone when it comes to the future of the club. He’s a boyhood Blues supporter that will be praying a solution is found immediately to find new ownership.

Mount a Chelsea favourite

Yes, some may feel Mount gets overhyped at times due to his club connection.

The England international is proving is worth to Tuchel’s side with his contribution, though.

He’s now scored eight goals and made nine assists in 38 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Chelsea fans absolutely love individuals that wear their heart on their sleeve and play for the crest on their shirt, something Mount does in bucket loads.

It’s going to take a lot of character for the players to try focus on their jobs on the pitch.

This group is stacked with heart and determination, which is epitomised by fan favourite Mount that looks a future captain in waiting.
