Converting from the spot seems so simple yet is never straightforward, but who has scored the most penalties for Chelsea?

Premier League pens

In terms of Premier League, there really is only one winner.

Frank Lampard dispatched 41 goals from 12-yards across his illustrious career in the top flight.

His first for the Blues was in 2003, slotting past Shay Given in a 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle United.

Ten years later, he smashed his last past Jussi Jääskeläinen during a 3-0 win over West Ham United.

In a not so close second is Eden Hazard with 17 to his name, whilst Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink comes third with 12.

The Dutch forward did not miss a single Premier League penalty whilst playing for Chelsea.

First Division fun

To our younger audience, there actually was football before Sky Sports invaded our television in 1992.

But you’ll be glad to know they still took spot-kicks back then and the Blues were still pretty good at them.

John Hollins leads the way for First Division penalty strikes, netting nine of his 11 attempted.

Peter Osgood follows up with eight from nine, then Terry Venables with a perfect record of eight from eight.

European adventures

How have we done in Europe?

Hazard is our chief converter in the Champions League, bagging four out of his seven tries.

Lampard managed 100% of his penalties (four from four), one of those arriving against Liverpool in the 2007/08 semi-final.

Cup conversions

Bet you can’t guess who has got the most FA Cup conversions…

If you said Lampard, you’d be ‘spot’ on. Super Frank scored three times from four goes, with Willian and Hazard runners up (both two out of two).

The League Cup award is shared between Dennis Wise and Hazard, the Blues pair bagging two from two.
