Chelsea go into their Carabao Cup semi-final with Tottenham on Thursday down in the dumps after losing 2-0 to Arsenal at the weekend in the Premier League.
The Blues have been extremely inconsistent in the past month and summer signing Jorginho has hit a bump in the road at Stamford Bridge.

The midfield general is deployed to implement Maurizio Sarri’s possession-based game, but has been man-marked in several matches and is struggling to leave his mark on games.
So could Chelsea fans see a different player fill the deep-lying playmaker role?
There are several supporters that are keen to see centre-back David Luiz push forward into midfield from defence.

Luiz has been used as a defender only since Sarri arrived at Chelsea, but has been tested in midfield at stages in his career.
The 31-year-old has proven this campaign he’s got a ridiculous range of passing and he can’t be far off matching Jorginho for that.
Meanwhile, he would clearly be a more physical presence in the midfield and wouldn’t be dominated by opponents.

Luiz’s trademark through balls could be even more effective in midfield and moving him out of defence would also remove the risk of a mistake from the rash Brazilian.
He certainly has the tools required replace an out of form Jorginho, but it would be a surprise if Sarri doesn’t remain loyal to his Italian ace instead.
Luiz has been a popular figure at the club since he re-signed for £34million (BBC) from Paris Saint-Germain and it will be interesting to see if Sarri rotates with two cup fixtures next on the agenda.
