Leon Goretzka believes Chelsea will have the scheduling advantage over Bayern Munich ahead of the second leg of Champions League round of 16 at Allianz Arena.
Chelsea suffered a devastating 3-0 first-leg defeat against Bayern at Stamford Bridge in February.
Serge Gnabry (twice) and Robert Lewandowski found the net and Bayern brought home a three away goal advantage over Frank Lampard’s men.
Despite overwhelming odds in their favour, Bayern star Goretzka still urged his teammates to be wary of Chelsea’s advantage ahead of the match.

He told Bild am Sonntag (as quoted by Bundesliga’s official website): “Chelsea have the advantage in that they are travelling to Munich just after the season, while we want to refind our rhythm.
“We’ll do everything to make sure Chelsea won’t be successful again in Munich.
“We’ve already had a great season, winning the league and cup. Now our focus is on Chelsea and the Champions League.”

Bayern played their last match on July 4 in 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen in DFB Pokal final which means they will have over a month of football vacuum until the Chelsea game on August 8.
On the other hand, Chelsea will have just a week of rest between the FA Cup final against Arsenal on August 1 and their trip to Munich.
