Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has admitted it’s a “pleasure to watch” Reece James when he’s in this kind of form.

James, 21, delivered yet another quality display last night at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea moved top of their Champions League group, along with seal qualification to the knockouts rounds, after thumping Juventus 4-0 at home.

Blues academy graduate James was too hot for Juventus to handle.

The right wing-back scored his fifth goal of the season in all competitions with a powerful low finish, which goes alongside his five assists.

Tuchel was left waxing lyrical about the England international after he steamrolled through Juventus.

“Reece is in a fantastic moment. I have to say sometimes I don’t like to speak too highly about players because I fear they may go down, but it was a brilliant performance from Reece… He’s so consistent over 90 minutes in the moment that it’s a please to watch,” Tuchel told beIN SPORTS.

James the unstoppable force

James looks like contributing going forward whenever he’s on the pitch, with wing-backs so vital in Tuchel’s system.

However, his defensive work is just as impressive.

He can outmuscle with his raw power, plus he’s learning from some of the most experienced defenders around within the dressing room.

It’s brilliant to see him growing into the wing-back position.

Chelsea academy can be so proud

All the years of hard work in Chelsea’s academy is now paying off for several individuals, so all the credit has to go to the youth staff.

James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Treveh Chalobah were all Chelsea goalscorers against Juventus that once played in the academy.

Likewise, Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were on the pitch last night, too.
