Chelsea may have even accepted that result by the time 90 minutes came to an end, following Ben Chilwell’s second half red card that nullified their attacking threat to a minimum.

The Blues gave their best performance of the season, as goals from Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz turned the tie around and left the Bridge rocking.

Tonight will be a much tougher test, however the stadium will be sure to be up for things, especially if they are given any early encouragement by their players.
One crucial player who will again be available is Silva, who made his first appearance in six weeks in the first leg of the tie.
He was rested for the defeat against Brighton, and all of his brilliance and experience will be required to marshal a patched up defence tonight.
The Brazilian has today taken to Instagram to stir belief amongst supporters. He said: “If there’s 1% chance, have 99% faith.
”With the game holding the only remaining chance at salvaging something from what has been a dire season, it would be a mammoth display for the Blues to turn things around and book their place in the semi-finals, likely against Manchester City.
