Nicolas Jackson has really shocked Chelsea with the level of his performances during pre-season.
That is according to a report from The Guardian.
They claim that Chelsea have been ‘pleasantly surprised’ by Nicolas Jackson, 22, during the pre-season tour of the United States.
It is understood that the new Blues striker has impressed the club’s staff with his displays in attack.

In our view, Jackson was the pick of the bunch during Chelsea’s really positive tour of the United States.
The young centre-forward is new into the Blues squad this summer following his £32million (Evening Standard) arrival from Villarreal, but he’s hit the ground running in his new environment.
He scored a couple of goals and created three assists in the warm-up games, which is why there’s now real excitement building around him going into the new 2023/24 campaign.
We would be really surprised if Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t start him in next week’s Premier League opener against Liverpool.

Jackson wasn’t the high-profile name many Chelsea fans wanted this summer to fill the No 9 position, but it looks like the recruitment team have got this signing bang on!
The Senegal international looks quick, powerful, energetic and calm in front of goal.
Of course, we’ll need to see the frontman do it in the Premier League. There’s every reason to get excited about him right now, though.
Paul Merson recently said he’s been “very surprised” by how good Jackson has been in the early weeks of his Chelsea career, as quoted by Sportskeeda.
If Premier League followers still haven’t heard of Jackson, we’re confident they will have in a couple of months time.
