Pep Guardiola says you cannot compare the skills of Erling Haaland and Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling.
Speaking immediately after Manchester City’s Carabao Cup victory yesterday, Guardiola explained that his new number nine possesses entirely different abilities to Sterling.
Chelsea’s summer signing may have watched his two former clubs lock horns at the Etihad last night, with Liverpool losing 3-2.
Had he turned on the television, Sterling will also have witnessed Haaland scoring his 19th goal of the season.
The Norway international took just ten minutes to reopen his account for the campaign following the World Cup.

“Erling is not like Rico (Lewis), for example, or Raheem in the past, like in one training session he is fit and ready. He’s so tall, he’s big, to move his body is not easy.”
Some City fans may have been sad to Sterling set sail for Stamford Bridge, considering what how much he contributed to the team’s modern success.
