'Back to square one': Some Chelsea fans now don't think they'll be signing 28-year-old this summer
Chelsea supporters on social media were met by the devastating news that Romelu Lukaku is unlikely to leave Inter Milan this summer.
In an interview with HLN, Lukaku told reporters that he intended to remain at Inter, despite murmurs linking him with a move back to London.
Following Antonio Conte’s surprising departure, the Belgian striker seemed ship shape and ready to leave the Serie A champions.
As it turns out, he looks ready to fight for another Italian title.
This will certainly dampen Chelsea moods, who had placed him top of their transfer priority list.

Here’s how Blues fans reacted to the update on Twitter:
Lukaku’s latest omission is a massive blow to many associated with Stamford Bridge.
Their eyes must have lit up when they realised their former centre-forward might be available to sign ahead of next season.
With Inter making financial cut backs, including getting rid of Conte, Chelsea would have been well aware the income Lukaku could have brought into the club.
They may also have been riding on the wave of footballing nostalgia and romance.
It’s seven years since Lukaku left the Blues to join Everton permanently and for him to come full circle again would be a dream.
Unfortunately, the 28-year-old doesn’t seem ready to fulfill any fantasies just yet.
