Ruben Loftus-Cheek continued his progress from his injury return by playing for the Under-23s side on Monday – and some Chelsea fans on Twitter were impressed by his performance.
The English midfielder completed a full 90 minutes for the development team in a Premier League 2 fixture.

Chelsea recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over Everton, with Luke McCormick converting a penalty kick late on.
Loftus-Cheek caught the eye in the centre of the park for the Blues, while he was also fouled for the winning spot-kick.
The 24-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance this campaign due to his long-term injury absence, but has returned to the bench for the first-team in recent fixtures.

It’s certainly an encouraging sign that the fan favourite could play a full game for the youth team, but surely that makes it highly likely that he will be missing from Tuesday night’s squad against Liverpool in the FA Cup fifth round tie at Stamford Bridge.
He has so much potential to be a superstar in Frank Lampard’s team and they look like they could do with the powerhouse in the side right now, but easing him back in after such a long break makes sense.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media were delighted to see Loftus-Cheek in action on Monday night and raved about his contribution.
