Willian’s intelligent flick assisted Tammy Abraham for the opening goal early in the first-half, as he showed his composure with a finish inside the box.

Christian Pulisic then headed in a second after some quick reactions and he’s discovered brilliant form in recent weeks.

The Blues sit second in the league table as it stands and should go into the international break with great confidence.

Manager Frank Lampard opted to leave out captain Cesar Azpilicueta and give Reece James the chance to impress, while vice-captain Jorginho was unavailable through suspension.

Willian is one of the senior members in the dressing room and he handled the responsibility of being captain against Palace.

The Brazilian winger looked a real threat in possession with the injection of pace, while his defensive work was once again tireless and he’s underrated with what he does off the ball.

His assist for the opener was a piece of genius on the edge of the box that shows what he’s got a lot of quality and he appear to be loving life under Lampard.

Willian often does get criticism for his performances, but a selection of supporters on social media were impressed with his latest efforts.
