Chelsea recorded a dramatic comeback win over Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters hailed defender Tariq Lamptey following his senior debut in the game.

The Blues produced a late 2-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium to earn three vital points in the league, which helps them consolidate fourth in the table.

Frank Lampard’s side found themselves a goal down when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted in the 13th minute and the hosts were on top.

But manager Lampard ditched the 3-4-3 system after just half an hour and substituted on Jorginho for the unfortunate Emerson Palmieri.

Chelsea grew into the contest from there, but struggled to find the breakthrough until late on.

Jorginho tapped an 83rd minute equaliser into an empty net, before Tammy Abraham tucked in the winner in the 87th minute with some real composure in the box.

A selection of supports on social media picked out Lamptey for his display, as he became the latest academy graduate to get an opportunity under Lampard.

The 19-year-old full-back was substituted on for Fikayo Tomori in the 59th minute and he showed no signs of nervousness on his first senior appearance.

He slotted into the team nicely at right-back and added an extra impotence with his pace and dribbling in the final third.

Meanwhile, experienced Arsenal attacker Aubameyang was unable to isolate the English teenager and fans are hopeful they will see more of their rapid right-back.
