Chelsea’s young talent Levi Colwill has been included on a list for the very best prospects in the world.

GOAL has published its NXGN 2022 top 50 list on Tuesday to pick out the best emerging wonderkids in world football.

Colwill, who’s yet play in the Chelsea first team, features on the list at 32nd.

Incidentally, his fellow English representatives are Jude Bellingham (1st), Harvey Elliott (5th), Liam Delap (23rd), Charlie Patino (28th), Carney Chukwuemeka (37th), Kaide Gordon (40th), Shola Shoretire (44th).

Colwill is a highly-rated teenager that’s hoping to be the latest in a long line of big success stories from Chelsea’s Cobham academy.

Aged 19, he’s an emerging defender that’s currently impressing in the Championship.

The ball-playing centre-back left Stamford Bridge in the summer on a season-long loan to Huddersfield Town, who are in a promotion race to get back to the Premier League.

He’s had some injury issues lately, but was an outstanding individual for the Yorkshire club in the first half of the season.

Another Chelsea gem

Hopefully, Colwill can live up to the expectation that’s being put on his young shoulders.

Huddersfield teammate and captain has already tipped the centre-half for a big future playing at the top level. There is no doubt he’ll hear about his inclusion on this list, too.

It’s brilliant news for the England Under-21 international that he’s receiving rave reviews, but there is still a long road ahead.

His aim should be to break into Thomas Tuchel’s plans in the summer during Chelsea’s pre-season, something that Trevoh Chalobah did last year.
