Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel responded on Wednesday when asked about the captaincy situation involving Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – and some angry Gunners fans on Twitter responded saying they wouldn’t mind sell him to the Blues.
Aubameyang, 32, is under the spotlight right now after a recent fallout at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners forward has been omitted lately by his manager Mikel Arteta because of a disciplinary breach. Furthermore, Arsenal confirmed this week that he’s been stripped of the captaincy and is not considered for selection in their upcoming Premier League game.
Chelsea manager Tuchel was asked today about his opinion on what’s happening at a London rival. It’s worth pointing out that he previous worked with Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund, too. The striker scored a remarkable 79 goals in 95 appearances under him in total.
“I feel sorry for him that he’s in trouble. This is not where he should be with his kind of quality and the positive character that he has. And I still believe in this,” Tuchel said.
“But I’m not involved, I’m not involved in what’s going on in his club now, and for this, I want to also show my respect and not be involved and judge what is right and wrong.”

Arsenal fans try sell him on to Chelsea
A selection of Arsenal supporters seem keen to offload Aubameyang amid his disciplinary saga, so some are even trying to auction him off to Chelsea.
It’s going to be interesting to see how his future pans out in North London and whether he can get back into favour with Arteta.
He’s on a mega £250,000-a-week contract, which doesn’t expire until 2023.
The £56million star has proven himself to be an elite striker over the years, but his influence has been draining at Arsenal and the recent incident could be the final nail in the coffin.
Chelsea have spent big on their own striker in the shape of Romelu Lukaku, so don’t need to be in the market for a high-profile attacker on huge wages.
