Chelsea to have a conversation with on-loan midfielder Denis Zakaria who has yet to make an appearance for the club so far this season.
The 25-year-old joined the Blues on a season-long loan from Juventus on the deadline day of the summer transfer window.
On paper, he is arguably the type of player Chelsea need — a defensive midfielder.
However, he has so far failed to make any appearance under both Thomas Tuchel and his successor Graham Potter.
While Zakaria has made the bench three times so far at Chelsea, all in the Champions League, he has not made the squad for any of Chelsea’s eight Premier League matches.
According to Romano, the club and the player are expected to have a conversation regarding his lack of involvement.

Chelsea to talk to Denis Zakaria
“He’s in a difficult position as Thomas Tuchel wanted him while Juventus had him in consideration,” the Italian journalist wrote on Twitter about Zakaria’s situation at Chelsea.
“It will be discussed soon.”
The former Borussia Monchengladbach himself has not given up on his chances at Chelsea, however.
He is clearly aware of the competition for spots in the team and is eager to impress the manager.
“I believe in myself 100 per cent,” the Switzerland international told the Evening Standard this week.
“I am waiting for my moment and I want to prove I can play in this team. I want to help this team to win and win trophies.
“If you don’t do good, you don’t have the chance to stay. Chelsea is a big club and if you’re not good enough, you can’t stay.
“I am here to prove that I deserve to be here, that I am a good player and I can help the team.”
According to an earlier report from the Evening Standard, Chelsea have the option to sign the midfielder at £26million at the end of his loan spell.
