Chelsea have included Edouard Mendy in their 23-man squad for the Club World Cup semifinal, but Reece James did not make the cut, according to FIFA’s official website.
Mendy’s inclusion and James’ omission are the only changes from the previous list of the 23 players who travelled to Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
James is still nursing a hamstring injury and a doubt for the tournament.
Mendy, on the other hand, is expected to join up with the squad in the next days after winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal at the weekend.

Mason Mount, who did not take part in the first training session on Sunday after picking up a minor injury in the win over Plymouth Argyle, still makes the squad.
The Blues will face The Asian Champions League winners Al Hilal in the semifinal on Wednesday. The Saudi club previously beat the UAE representatives, Al Jazira, in a comfortable 6-1 win on Sunday.
Thomas Tuchel’s assistant Arno Michels is expected to lead the Blues again in the upcoming match, although the manager may be able to travel to the UAE later.
