Graham Potter has reportedly explained to Mykhailo Mudryk why he’s been left out of the Chelsea side recently.
According to journalist Simon Phillips on his Substack, Chelsea’s head coach has held ‘private conversations’ with Mudryk to explain his decision-making with team selection.
The 22-year-old attacker has been an unused substitute in the club’s last two games, important wins against Borussia Dortmund and Leeds United.
His transfer could end up costing £89million following his January arrival from Shakhtar Donetsk, but he’s taking some time adjusting to a new environment.

It’s great to hear that Potter has been engaging in his squad with 1v1 conversations, something which is very important when working with such a large group.
Mudryk won’t be used to not starting games, let alone being an unused substitute. As a result, Potter’s man-management skills must be spot on.
The Ukraine international is yet to score or assist in his opening six Chelsea appearances, so the head coach has just taken him out of the limelight.
In addition, the return of Raheem Sterling from injury has ramped up the competition at the top end of the pitch.

Mudryk now has a real fight on his hand to get himself back in the Blues line-up.
Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix are the two attackers playing the main support role to Kai Havertz, which worked well in this week’s victory over Borussia Dortmund.
That means the likes of Mudryk, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech have to work hard to get opportunities on the pitch again.
Gabby Agbonlahor has said Mudryk will need to wait in line for his next chance, and he may need to remain patient in the weeks ahead.
