Chelsea manager Graham Potter was full of praise for Omari Hutchinson‘s display despite Sunday’s friendly 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in Abu Dhabi.
The Blues’ warm-weather training camp in the Middle East, unfortunately, ended with a defeat.
Potter obviously had to work without those involved in the 2022 World Cup and used the opportunity to use several academy talents.
The likes of Lewis Hall and Charlie Webster had a good game alongside Jorginho in midfield, but it was Hutchinson who caught the most attention.

“Really good,” the manager told Chelsea TV when asked about Hutchinson’s performance.
“Dangerous… asking questions all the time.
“He hit the [post] in the first half, but throughout the game, he showed his quality.”
Hutchinson, who joined Chelsea from Arsenal earlier this year, caused a lot of problems for Villa defenders.
Naturally an attacking midfielder, the 19-year-old is versatile enough to play across the front three, which would only help his chance of breaking into the first team.
At Arsenal, he was already named among first-team substitutes under Mikel Arteta on several occasions and based on Potter’s comments, he could soon do it at Chelsea as well.
