Frank Lampard is seriously impressed by what he’s seen from Chelsea youngster Noni Madueke.

Since Frank Lampard took charge as Chelsea’s caretaker manager last month, Noni Madueke has played in just three of his seven games.

However, the 21-year-old winger is now showing what he can do during impressive back-to-back starts.

The left-footed wide player is now flexing his muscles on the pitch after showing great patience during his opening few months as a Blues player.

His recent form included his first goal for the club in the defeat against Arsenal.

Lampard has singled out Chelsea’s Madueke for huge individual praise after coaching him in the past few weeks. In particular, he mentioned the youngster’s personality as a big trait.

“I think Noni’s a good example of an individual that in the first week of training was a clear talent but I wanted to see a bit more,” Lampard said, as quoted by the club’s official website.

“I had that conversation with him and he showed me more and he’s come into the games and showed me his personality as much as his talent, to come in, in a tough moment, take the ball and show glimpses of his talent.”

With four games left of the season, Madueke needs to be starting the remaining fixtures.

The English speedster is injecting some positivity and life into a Chelsea forward line that has looked toothless this campaign.

His 1v1 ability is something we are seeing full-backs hate. Also, the £29million (Sky Sports) winger is constantly demanding the ball and looking forward.

Every Chelsea supporters will have had sleepless nights about how poor the attack has been, but there’s definitely room for encouragement when you check on some of the young forwards.
