'I have been told': Sky journalist says £29m man told Tuchel he is '100%' loyal to Chelsea

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth explained that Antonio Rudiger has informed Thomas Tuchel of his allegiance to Chelsea.

Rudiger is the subject of intense contract scrutiny, with his current deal set to run out next June.

Talks over an extension for the German defender have yet to get under way, with discussions likely to take place after the European Championships.

The 28-year-old was fabulous following Tuchel’s arrival in January, which caused an inquest into Frank Lampard’s decision to leave him out.

WAYNE ROONEY TO EVERTON IS A JOKE.

He was heavily involved during the Blues run to become champions of Europe, not to mention their top four Premier League finish.

His departure from Stamford Bridge looked almost certain whilst Lampard was still in charge, with the player himself admitting he’d been approached by Tottenham Hotspur.

Uncertainties still remain over Rudiger’s future, with top clubs seemingly interested in acquiring his services.

However, Sheth wanted to calm some of Chelsea’s nerves by delivering an update on the positive conversation between him and Tuchel.

“I have been told this morning that Antonio Rudiger has spoken to the Chelsea head coach, Thomas Tuchel, and has told him ‘I am 100% committed to play under you, to play at Chelsea, next season.’”

Sky Sports followed this up by stating that the £29m (BBC Sport) arrival from Roma would be keen to sign a new long-term deal with Chelsea.

Yet, he is also open to leaving as a free agent next summer if a suitable offer does not come his way.
