Jack Grealish and Ian Wright now both very impressed by player Chelsea let go just last year

Members of the Chelsea family and beyond huddled together to show their appreciation to Tammy Abraham following his significant weekend.

Abraham bagged a brace in Roma’s extremely important derby victory over Lazio, as Jose Mourinho’s men continued their chase for a European spot.

The young striker took his tally for the term up to 23 across all competitions.

This is the most any player has managed in his debut season at Roma, beating the previous record held by Gabriel Gabriel Batistuta and Vincenzo Montella (both 21).

James Officially Returns To HITC!

Not many would ever have placed Batistuta and the Cobham academy product in the same sentence.

Until now.

No stopping the Tammy train

Along with his double against Lazio, Abraham has scored 11 times since the turn of the year, nine of those arriving in Serie A.

He is rightly receiving the recognition his performances and numbers deserve from all across the board.

Not long after helping Roma to overcome their bitter rivals, the England international cemented the victory in a social media post.

Those with and without connections to Chelsea formed a cluster of compliments and positive energy.

Reece James, who has already been vocal about Abraham’s achievements, left a comical reply just below Fikayo Tomori’s words of praise.

Jack Grealish and Bukayo Saka let their feelings known in emoji form, whilst Ian Wright went old school with actual words of love.

Trevoh Chalobah and Jadon Sancho were amongst the other admirers.

There really isn’t much to not respect about Abraham’s antics since leaving Stamford Bridge last summer.

Taking a new team and league by storm, let alone an entirely different walk of life, is no mean feat.

His return to Gareth Southgate’s squad acts as another indication of the 24-year-old’s levels.

Perhaps the only thing to hate about Tammy is the fact he no longer represents Chelsea…
