Jack Grealish posts four-word message to Chelsea player after his PL display on Saturday

Manchester City star Jack Grealish has posted a four-word message to Chelsea player Ross Barkley after his display at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Barkley came off the bench today to help Chelsea beat Southampton 3-1 in the Premier League contest.

The 27-year-old provided the pre-assist with a mesmerising long range pass in the build up to Timo Werner’s goal, which put the home side 2-1 ahead at the time.

Barkley has had to spend most of this season so far watching on from the stands, but his manager Thomas Tuchel is now starting to give him a few minutes on the pitch.

The English central midfielder certainly made the most of his 10 minutes on the field at the weekend.

Barkley has uploaded a message on Instagram after Chelsea’s win against Southampton. Man City’s Grealish, who played alongside him at Aston Villa last year, replied.

In addition, current Blues teammate Ben Chilwell congratulated him for his bright cameo performance.

Can this be turning point for Ross Barkley?

Chelsea fans can’t go too over the top when it comes to Barkley.

Yes, it was an unbelievable pass from the midfielder that helped unlock the door to help win against Southampton. He’s always had excellent individual ability and is capable of producing magical moments.

However, he’s got a long way to go if he truly wants to get back into contention at the Bridge, especially because of his midfield rivals within the squad.

He needs to continue working in training and impacting matches when he plays. For him, it’s about finding consistency.

Tuchel is a superb manager

Of course, everyone is aware of how successfully Tuchel has implemented his tactics on this Chelsea side to improve them drastically.

Not enough praise is given to him, though, for the way he manages a dressing room.

It’s quite remarkable to see how he’s kept everyone moving in the right direction, despite the fact he has to leave big names on the bench every week.
