'Joke': Some Blues fans react to Chelsea's surprising line-up vs Wolves

Some Chelsea fans reacted to Thomas Tuchel’s starting line-up for Sunday’s Premier League match against Wolves amid injury and Covid-19 problems.

Earlier today, The Telegraph reported that Chelsea have had their request to postpone the weekend’s game rejected by the Premier League.

Some Chelsea fans on social media were understandably unhappy about the reported decision given the number of key absences in Tuchel’s squad.

Tuchel has now made some difficult calls about his team.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Chelsea XI vs Wolves: Mendy; James, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Silva, Alonso; Chalobah, Kante; Mount, Ziyech, Pulisic.

The most obvious one is the midfield pair of N’Golo Kante and Trevoh Chalobah in midfield.

It is likely that Tuchel felt that Mateo Kovacic, who recently returned after an eight-week absence, is not ready to start.

The front three that started against; Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, and Christian Pulisic, all kept their spots in the team.

Tuchel has also only named six players on the bench, including two goalkeepers.

This means Chelsea will only have four outfield players; Malang Sarr, Kovacic, Saul Niguez, and Ross Barkley, as backups for 90 minutes.

At Chelsea, the senior squad and the development squad are in different bubbles, so it might explain the lack of any academy players on the team sheet.

Well, just like these Chelsea fans, Tuchel was apparently not happy about having to play despite the obvious Covid-19 risks as well.
