New Chelsea boss Graham Potter has reportedly already held first talks with some senior players at Stamford Bridge.
Potter, who replaced Thomas Tuchel in the manager’s dugout this week after leaving Brighton, has now got to work with his new side.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter, Potter has held some one-on-one discussions with senior individuals in the Chelsea dressing room.
It is understood the 47-year-old’s “stressed” a key message of leadership and dressing room unity. Also, he wants to have an open door policy for conversations.
Jacobs adds the new Blues head coach wants to quickly learn about the culture of the new London club.
Potter talks with Chelsea players

The senior players to be involved in talks are unnamed, but it’s a good idea for Potter to initially reach out to the Chelsea core.
You can guess that the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Jorginho held discussions.
There’s no doubt this is an immensely talented squad of players available to Chelsea, but you could perhaps label them with the tag of going into their shell at times and lacking leaders on the pitch in difficult moments.
Hopefully, new coach Potter can help to unlock the very best of this group.

Tuchel’s reportedly been given the target of a top four finish and a decent showing in the Champions League, but the club are going to give him time to work on a long-term project.
One big topic of conversation should be around the captaincy because you want your general on the pitch.
For certain, plenty of the Blues fanbase would like to see Reece James put forward as the next club captain to succeed squad player Cesar Azpilicueta.
