One potential Chelsea investor is reportedly convinced they’ve already made the best offer to buy the club.

According to The Independent, a consortium lead by American businessman Todd Boehly believe they are frontrunners with their takeover bid.

The report states they feel they have the best “all-round offer”, which includes fan involvement. For certain, Blues supporters would love to have their say on how the future is shaped post-Roman Abramovich.

Boehly, 46, has been linked during the past week with a takeover offer during the search at Stamford Bridge for new ownership.

His consortium reportedly includes Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss. Also, Jonathan Goldstein has been linked as a member of the party.

The deadline for all takeover offers to be submitted is 9pm tonight, so the future should become a little clearer soon as the cut-off point draws closer.

It’ll then be down to the Raine Group, who are the US merchant bank overseeing Chelsea’s sale, to deliver their verdicts on respective bids.
