Report: Chelsea tell player he is no longer part of Tuchel's plans this season

Chelsea have reportedly communicated to winger Hakim Ziyech that he is no longer part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the 2022/23 season as the club is close to signing a replacement, according to Calciomercato.

The 29-year-old recently announced his decision to part ways with his long-term agent, Nahkli Mondial, on social media.

“Moving forward, my team and I, together with our legal representatives, will handle the business side of things,” the Moroccan winger wrote on Instagram.

This, according to Calciomercato, will have an impact on Ziyech’s potential move to AC Milan with his desire to play a prominent role in the team playing being a big factor in any deal.

The report also suggests that Ziyech is unlikely to stay at Chelsea this summer since the player himself has already been informed of his exclusion from Tuchel’s plans ahead of Raheem Sterling’s expected arrival.

It remains unclear whether AC Milan, who reportedly prefer to sign the player on a loan deal with an obligation to buy, will reach an agreement with Chelsea.

Ziyech is under contract until 2025, so the Blues are not exactly under pressure to sell him this summer, although they will eventually have to make room for new signings in the squad.
