Chelsea midfielder Danilo Pantic is reportedly looking for a way to end his Chelsea contract amid Chelsea’s new three-year deal offer.

The 23-year-old is reportedly in training with his boyhood club FK Partizan after his previous season-long loan spell at Hungarian club Fehervar was cut short in January according to Serbian newspaper Telegraf.

And now Pantic is in limbo with a question mark over his future.

Having had four different loan spells since joining Chelsea in 2015, the attacking midfielder still has one year left in his contract.

Pantic is reportedly eager to return to Partizan but the aforementioned Telegraf’s report said the Serbian club cannot afford to pay his €3million Chelsea are demanding.

The report also claimed that Pantic has been trying to terminate his Chelsea contract in order to join Partizan as a free agent.

Pantic has previously told Nova: “I will certainly not return to Chelsea, I have nothing to look for there.”

Interestingly, Mirko Poledica, the president of the Syndicate of Professional Footballers in Serbia who has acted as the intermediate between Pantic and Chelsea, said the Blues have offered Pantic an extension to his contract.

Poledica told Nova: “They want to give him a new contract, but they cannot promise him minutes.

“Maybe they want to send him on another loan, they are very patient.

“They want to extend his contract until 2023 and they want to keep him.”

Poledica also said that the organisation has been helping Pantic in communication with Chelsea, but Pantic has not made it his intention clear; whether he wants to be released or to sign a new contract and go on another loan.

“He needs to clarify it, but I told him I would not think for a second (if I were him),” said Poledica.

“They (Chelsea) want to keep him and offer him conditions that no Serbian club could offer him.”
