Reports have claimed that West Ham chiefs believe they can get more money for Declan Rice than Chelsea paid for Enzo Fernandez.
According to The Athletic, the Hammers are convinced the Premier League experience of the England international trumps what the Argentine had on his CV when he made his move to England.
It looks as if Rice is going to be on the move for a record fee for an Englishman, with both Arsenal and Manchester City still fighting for his signature.

The Blues had held a long-term interest in signing the 24-year-old, however interest in bringing him in appears to have cooled.
This perhaps stems from the fact that his best friend, Mason Mount, is pushing to leave the club himself after failing to come to an agreement on a new contract.
West Ham talking about Fernandez and Rice
West Ham are still yet to accept an offer for him yet though, and are seemingly waiting to receive a fee higher than what Chelsea paid to smash their own transfer record back in January.
Despite the club finishing in 12th position in the Premier League, none of the blame was put at Fernandez’s door.

He impressed every manager at the club, with Frank Lampard even stating that he believes the World Cup winner is the future of Chelsea.
They are currently in the market for another central midfielder who will be able to help get the best out of the 22-year-old, with him being let down by those alongside him for the majority of last season.
It seems they have decided on Moises Caicedo from Brighton, with the Ecuador international feeling as if he is due a move due to his commitment to staying at the club back in January.
