Former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is the leading candidate to replace recently-sacked Graham Potter at Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues announced the decision to sack Potter on Sunday, one day after the disappointing 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
The result also puts Chelsea in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
Chelsea have also made Bruno Saltor Grau, who joined the club in 2022 alongside Potter, as an interim head coach for now, but many expect the club to appoint a permanent manager soon.
According to Romano, Nagelsmann, who was fired by Bayern last week, is the most likely candidate for the Chelsea job.

“Julian Nagelsmann is the favorite candidate to replace Graham Potter as new Chelsea head coach, as reported yesterday,” the Italian journalist wrote on Twitter.
“Nagelsmann was mentioned yesterday during internal discussions — Julian is considered a talented coach.
“Talks are ongoing to make the best decision.”
A recent report from Sky Germany claimed that Chelsea would have to pay compensation to hire Nagelsmann, who is still under contract with Bayern until 2026.
It, therefore, might take time for them to reach an agreement with the German club if they were to appoint the 35-year-old.
