Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel barely spoke with Levi Colwill during time at Stamford Bridge.
That is according to a report from The Athletic.
They claim that Levi Colwill joined up with the Blues squad last summer for pre-season when Thomas Tuchel was still in the manager’s dugout.
It is understood that the German coach barely spoke to the young defender, though.
The report claims that Colwill felt he was purely making the numbers up and was upset by Tuchel’s approach.
Eventually, the young centre-back left Chelsea to join Brighton on loan and enjoyed an excellent season last year at the Amex Stadium.

TalkSPORT recently claimed that Brighton are willing to spend a club-record £40million to re-sign Colwill this summer.
We don’t want Chelsea to even consider getting rid of the young defender, though.
Well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on YouTube this week that Chelsea are convinced Colwill is going nowhere during this transfer window.
He’s been busy this summer helping England win the Under-21s European Championship, but attention will soon turn to his club career when he joins up with Chelsea’s first-team squad in the United States for pre-season.

It’s a shame to hear Colwill didn’t get much of a look-in under Tuchel, but it turns out last year’s spell at Brighton was great for his overall development.
We’re hopefully the left-footed centre-back is going to make a much great impact on the current Chelsea boss.
Well-respected journalist Simon Phillips did claim on his Substack recently that Mauricio Pochettino thtinks Colwill has a big future at Chelsea.
