Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount said during his loan spell in Eredivisie, he has already known about how good Hakim Ziyech is.
The Blues announced Ziyech’s transfer pre-agreement in February after the winger agreed to a five-year deal at Chelsea.
The 27-year-old is supposed to join Frank Lampard’s squad on July 1, but there could be some delay to the transfer depending on the global crisis.
Chelsea young star Mount, however, said he couldn’t wait to play alongside the Morocco international.
During a live stream of Combat Corona FIFA tournament, Mount said (as quoted by Metro): “Yeah. So two years ago I was in Holland on loan so I knew a bit about him then and obviously how good of a player he is.
“So obviously it’s another amazing, world-class player joining the club. So yeah buzzing to work with him, train with him and hopefully play with him.”

Mount spent a season on loan at Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem in 2017/18. The 21-year-old was the star on Vitesse’s team who finished sixth, having netted 14 goals and nine assists in the league.
In that season, Ziyech and Ajax failed to win the title as they finished second, trailing by four points to PSV Eindhoven. He bagged nine goals and 15 assists in the league.
It would be interesting to see how Mount who has a good nose for spaces would combine with Ziyech’s trademark cross-field passes.
