A Michy Batshuayi double and a Marcos Alonso free kick saw Chelsea easily progress into the fifth round of the FA Cup, beating Newcastle 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte’s side booked their spot in the next round of the competition with a comprehensive victory over the Magpies, and will have found out their round five opponents on Monday evening. Here’s who impressed on Sunday:

3. Pedro

A brilliant performance from the Spaniard on Sunday. Lively from the offset, Pedro was a key part of the opening goal. He provided a sublime ball forward to Eden Hazard, who found Alonso, who passed to Batshuayi for a tap-in. He was also instrumental in the second as well, feeding the ball to Hazard who found the Belgian striker. He could’ve had a few goals himself, but saw his shot narrowly go over Karl Darlow’s bar.

2. Marcos Alonso

Another Spaniard to have a good game, Alonso was a key part of Chelsea’s attack on the left-hand side. His quick thinking from Hazard’s pass allowed Batshuayi to have the easiest of finishes to score the opening goal. He added Chelsea’s third goal with a sublime free kick. He’s scored a few from similar range this season, and he’s added another to his tally. Alonso was very impressive, and narrowly missed out on being number one.

1. Michy Batshuayi

This man’s future is up in the air at the moment. Chelsea have been linked with a host of strikers in recent weeks, with the Belgian suggested to be heading out on loan. However, his performance against Newcastle might’ve given Antonio Conte something to think about. He added two goals to his tally this season, and could’ve had a few more if it weren’t for some good saves from Darlow in the Newcastle goal. Perhaps Chelsea should keep Batshuayi around, he clearly has an eye for goal.
